DANGERKIDS is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio featuring vocalists Andy Bane and Tyler Smyth, bassist Jake Bonham, and drummer Katie Cole. Writing songs that mine the same progressive territory as Linkin Park, they have crafted a reputation as the younger, more aggressive choice than their hard rock peers. Their 2013 Rise Records debut, Collapse, was met with acclaim from critics who cited a resurgence of the hybrid rock genre that had dominated the music scene over a decade ago. Their debut album landed them at #134 on the Billboard Top 200 and was named by Vice as one of the seven bands responsible for the nu-metal revival.
Their new album blacklist_, out on Paid Vacation Records, sees DANGERKIDS continuing down a path of reckless artistry and nu-rock modernism. "We're a band that's been pulled around a lot of different ways and been told what to do by a lot of different people, but in getting back to what really matters, we realized it's about the people who never left us in the first place. So this record is dedicated to the fans," says Tyler. "We wanted to push ourselves into some uncharted territory and deliver something fresh and a little unexpected. I think they'll be surprised."
DANGERKIDS will be taking their new songs on "The End is Here" Tour starting January 13th with Falling in Reverse, Motionless in White, and Issues.
