For more than three decades, veteran multi-platinum Canadian rockers Loverboy have been lovin' every minute of it...and now are proud to announce the upcoming worldwide release of ROCK N' ROLL REVIVAL via Frontiers Records. The album is set for an August 14th release in the United States and Canada and features nine newly re-recorded Loverboy hits, as well as three brand new songs. Loverboy founder/guitarist and producer of the album, Paul Dean commented, "The new songs on this album are in the same spirit as our classic material. Working with our old friend, Bob Rock, on "Heartbreaker'" (the album's first single) was very easy and natural. As far as the classic hits on the album, these songs are reflective of the evolution of our past 30 years of playing them LIVE."
With their trademark red leather pants, bandannas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, LOVERBOY has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four RIAA multi-platinum awards in the USA, including the four-million-selling Get Lucky, and a trio of double-platinum releases in their self-titled 1980 debut, 1983’s Keep It Up and 1985’s Lovin’ Every Minute of It. Their string of hits includes the working-man’s anthem “Working For The Weekend,” and arena rock staples including “Lovin’ Every Minute Of It”, “Hot Girls In Love”, “Turn Me Loose”, “The Kid Is Hot Tonite”,“Take Me To The Top”, “Gangs In The Street”, and “Queen Of The Broken Hearts.”
LOVERBOY went on to win a still-record six Juno awards in 1982, and until a three-year sabbatical in 1989, were one of the Top 5 grossing touring acts in the world, performing in over 100 cities across the U.S. and Canada. LOVERBOY still includes original members singer Mike Reno and guitarist Paul Dean, Doug Johnson on keyboards, and Matt Frenette on drums, and with Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve, who replaced the late Scott Smith on bass, LOVERBOY continues touring around the world, returning to the road with Journey and Pat Benatar for an arena tour that gets underway July 21st in San Bernardino, CA, running all the way through December of 2012.
