Rising from the tough economic times of Detroit, Pistol Day Parade is regarded as one of the top Midwest indie rock bands. Their debut EP, She Wants More, recorded by Mike Brown (Velvet Revolver), was released in 2009, featuring an early demo version of "Rockstar's Girlfriend". Industry rock radio powerhouse WRIF/Detroit picked up on the song's immense potential and has played the track over 1,100x times to date, and counting.
Since '09, the band has headlined countless shows at Detroit's famous Fillmore, and has also opened for legendary acts, such as; Stone Temple Pilots, Filter, Creed, Candlebox, Theory Of A Deadman, Saving Abel, Tantric, Pop Evil, and more.
In September of 2013, the band released their first full-length CD, Burn, produced and mixed by Tim Patalan and Chuck Alkazian on Goomba Records/eOne. Pistol Day Parade kicked off their 2014 tour in Austin at SXSW with a series of Texas-based shows. Plan on hearing them nationwide with the new and improved release of "Rockstar's Girlfriend" this summer and a kick-ass live show supporting none other than the Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent, all but guaranteeing there will be plenty more Rockstar's Girlfriends to come. Keep an eye on yours!
