New York-based rock band PSYCHO HILL was founded in 2017 by songwriters Johnny Iadevaio (Guitars) and Tim Curtin (Vocals). After spending most of that year writing and recording their debut EP, Wasted Youth, which was released digitally that same year, the duo found their distinct sound, which consists of heavy, blues-driven guitar riffs, dynamic musical sections, coupled with melodic and catchy vocal melodies that hook the listener. "It's all about writing great songs, from the heart, and not following any trends", declares Johnny. That tenet has helped the band create a style that has been described as modern, but with a vintage twist added into the mix.
With a patchwork backing band in place, the duo hit the pavement to support their debut release and to bring their high-intensity live show to life across the U.S. "Touring is where it's at for us. It's our chance to really get to know our fans", states Tim. Now, Psycho Hill has now completed its lineup, adding in Cody Mackston (Drums) and Rick Devita (Bass), as the key elements of a solid, and powerful rhythm section behind them.
In 2019, the band recorded and released a single and music video for the song, "A War Within", to whet the fan's appetite for their upcoming sophomore EP, Composure, which is scheduled for an early 2020 release.
Today, with the release of their new party-like-a-rockstar single and video, "June", PSYCHO HILL are poised to make their indelible mark on the world of rock 'n roll - and honestly, who couldn't use a little June in January??
